CAPRI BLUE

Complete renovation and interior design of an apartment in Castellón.
We undertook the complete renovation of this apartment in Castellón with the goal of transforming it into a fun and cheerful space inspired by the colors of Italy. Upon crossing the threshold, ceilings and walls blend into Klein Blue, framing a photo of the Faraglioni di Capri. A lattice partially reveals the living area, a space that invites dialogue and interaction among the housemates. From here, a play of diagonals, solids, and voids marks the path to the bedrooms.
Each bedroom is inspired by a different Italian locality. The smallest features a mural made from a photo of Rome, captured by Ana during one of our trips. In the back room, vintage Italian calligraphy prints nod to Florence while a terracotta sunset embraces the bed. The middle rooms are inspired by two other cities with illustrations, photos, and colors. Naples, Gabriele's hometown, is represented with strong colors reminiscent of the tuff stone of its iconic buildings and its gulf. Palermo is portrayed with its legendary testa di moro, the pink of its football team, and the deep blue of its sky.
The bathrooms are designed to combine elegance and comfort, distancing themselves from the stereotype of a typical student apartment. The first is characterized by staggered ceramic tiles that give it a textured look. The second features a delicate textile finish in cream tones. The kitchen is conceived as an independent unit, allowing for use without causing disturbances. Its materials and colors are carefully chosen to harmonize with the rest of the house.
